Remote avatars

I'd appreciate it if you could enable remote avatars so that we may link to our own avatars and thus not limit ourselves to the ones from the database. I know for sure that this option is disabled by default, and since the Search feature didn't tell me whether it is reason or default that dictates the situation, I've figured out that this request is relevant in some way.

Personally I don't mind at all. At the start we didn't allow them to control the content. You allow someone to put whatever they want in there and they can. That being said, inappropriate content can be moderated easily enough.

So it's up to you guys. What do you want? I added a poll to this topic so vote away!

Only one image can be displayed at a time, its width can be no greater than 152 pixels, the height no greater than 152 pixels, and the file size no more than 6 KB.

I take it you meant 60?

That setting is used only for uploading avatars, which is not turned on anyway. Remotely linked avatar's file size can be as big as they want but they will now be resized automatically to the forum default.
